Welcome to the 17th Asian Regional Conference (17 ARC) in Astana!

We’re thrilled to have you join us. Please find below a few information that may help you when you reach Astana:

Airport: Our airport has two terminals: Terminal 1 for International flights and Terminal 2 for Domestic flights within the same building. The exits from both terminals are on the first floor.
National currency – Tenge (KZT). 100 USD dollars approximately 45 000 tenge (KZT), please visit for course tracking: https://www.nationalbank.kz/ru/exchangerates/ezhednevnye-oficialnye-rynochnye-kursy-valyut. In Terminal 1 (International flights), there is a Currency Exchange Office (fig. 1). If you are arriving at Terminal 2 (Domestic flight), you will need to enter Terminal 1 (International flight) through the transition to the international flights area.
Mobile sim card: You can purchase a Kazakhstan mobile number in the Beeline store located on the 1st floor of T2 (Domestic flights) and in the Altel store located on the 2nd floor of T2 (Domestic flights).
Language: The native languages are Kazakh and Russian. Please use Google Translate to communicate with local services, e.g. cab drivers. For this purpose, please take care of international roaming in advance.
Transportation: Use the Yandex app, Uber app, or Region taxi (fig. 2) services (approximately 3000-4000 Tenge or 8-10 USD to most hotels from the airport). Taxi drivers accept payment in tenge, it is preferable to use cash. For this purpose, please change banknotes, denomination of 1000,2000 or 5000 tenges, so that it would be convenient to pay for the taxi.
Conference Venue: Hotel Hilton Astana, Heydar Aliyev Street, 14 Astana, Landmark: opposite the Expo building & adjacent to Mega Silk Way mall.
Gala Dinner Venue: Wyndham Garden Astana, about a 1.4 km walk from Hotel Hilton Astana (You may register and pay for the gala dinner online before August 14 via https://17arc.org/registration/ ).

Please don’t forget to bring a universal adaptor for charging. The weather is warm & the temperature during the conference time will be 23 to 30 degree Celsius during day time.
